The Premier League is a different beast, you wally. You think after spending £200mil (TWO HUNDRED MILLION) on players this season, we shouldn't feel 'entitled' to beat AZ fucking Alkmaar, who spent £15mil on players? Here's a game, without google, name me one of their players? Yeah, me neither son.
Any team in the top half of the Prem would wipe the floor with them. We should wipe the floor with them, but I'm certainly not confident of it because bar the odd half of football, we've been horrendous this season.

Oh, Italy. The recent powerhouse of European football. The country where teams like West Ham & Leeds can go and nick their best players whenever they want. I reckon we might go after that Anderson of Lazio, he'd light up the Prem.

Yeah, had a great day yesterday. Got a bit too tanked up, but all good. Didn't think we were great first half, didn't offer a threat until the jammy goal, but played well 2nd half.
I make that about 5 halfs of football where we've played well this season. We're on 37 points, after being the 3rd highest spenders on the PLANET, we probably spent more money than the whole Italian league. The bunting's already out, son.

Yes Italy that still have 5 teams left in European competitions including 2 in the Champions league semi final.
No other country has been as successful as Serie A in Europe so far this season but according to Eeyore beating Lazio home and away doesn’t mean much and any half decent team should wipe the floor with them.
Oh and yes you finally comment on yesterday’s game when prompted to by me. You can guarantee you would have been all over it with no prompting had we lost.
Won’t get my bunting out yet Eeyore because I know you frown on anyone being happy when we win.

I've not really commented on any games recently, because there really is not much point, most games this season have been a cut and paste job on why we've been so fucking shit. It's been a draining season, I'm glad you've enjoyed it though, you need something good going on living there.

Yeah it has been hard here living in the slums.
Just having that contact with happy go, positive people like you is what keeps me going during these hard times living in this shit hole. Maybe one day I can aspire to be as happy as you Eeyore.

Following the earlier rounds a little, I know of Matt Ryan and Jordy Clasie from their time in the Premier League. Bruno Martin Indi as well but he has played very little.
A couple young Canadians in the systems of PSV and Feyenoord. Those are the top teams in the Dutch league this year, with latter the runaway winners.
Ajax is having a poor year for them, and AZ follow them in the table.
Nothing is guarenteed in football and we have to show up on the day(s), but a Premier League should beat a Dutch team most years.

'Mighty' Fiorentina needed penalties at home having squandered a 4 goal away advantage from the first leg, against Lech Poznan and they have been poor domestically
As I said, AZ drew 0-0 away at Ajax but this is not a vintage Ajax.

I wouldn't say wipe the floor but bar those years where teams like Ajax put together a special team with their amazing youth system and some well picked veterans (before selling the former group off), any Premier League team in Europe should beat an Eredivisie team. In my opinion.
But as you as say a lot of that has to do with money.
